Fashion can mean so many different things to different kinds of people. Some use it as a form of self expression, others, as an expression of their religion and ideals. Then there’s people like myself who simply thrive on being the best dressed in ANY room. I’m assuming if you’ve made your way to reading this blog you probably lean most towards the latter as well. Well sis let me tell you, it’s only uphill from here. As one of my favorite quotes from an unknown author that I found in the depths of my twitter scrolling once said, “being ‘overdressed’ is a myth made up by people who don’t want you to have fun and be sexy.” LADIES, it is 10x better to be overdressed than underdressed, and if someone tells you otherwise chances are when it comes to fashion… they have no idea what they’re talking about. Either way, criticism slides off a lot easier in a leather jacket 😉
If you have any idea who I am, you will well know that I have been a Pinque Girl for as long as I can remember. I became a Pinque girl before I was even fashionable. Believe it or not, there was a time in my life where alternating between 4 different knee length dresses was my fashion statement. Ok, it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t that good either lol. I had no idea what Free People or Freebirds or Seven jeans were.. But that’s ok, most of us have had plenty of fashion no no’s before our very own ‘come to fashion’ revelations. Mine just happened to be within the four walls of Pinque Boutique.
I don’t know whether you made your way to this blog from Pinque’s page, my instagram, or if you just randomly came across it, so i’m gonna give y’all the back story, but I’ll make it short and sweet. Am I a self-proclaimed fashionista? Mostly yes lol, but somewhere along the way people started taking notice of my passion for fashion (it’s ok I cringed too) and sure as heck not long after that they even started asking me for fashion advice. Whether you think I’m qualified or not to give fashion advice, there is one thing that is for sure and that is that Pinque Boutique has taught me everything I know. From my evening gowns on the Miss Colorado stage to my comfy sleep shorts that sometimes I go too long without washing, they have opened the doors to the fashion world for me and I’m hoping that maybe I can do the same for you.
